A Ready For Anything® building block

One battery-powered sensor that tells your BMS what is actually happening in the room — before the occupant notices, before the complaint reaches the desk.

IP65 rated · LoRaWAN Class A · BACnet native via KONA gateway · EU868 / US915 / AU915 · Up to 10 years battery life

The problem this product exists to solve

Most buildings have a BMS. Most BMS systems have setpoints. But the temperature at the sensor on the wall and the temperature in the occupied zone are rarely the same thing. People open windows, doors get propped, plants rooms heat up, server rooms run hot. The BMS does not know until someone tells it — or until something fails.

The COMFORT V2 puts a calibrated, wireless measurement point exactly where you need it, without running a cable, without a wiring centre change, and without involving the electrician. It joins your existing LoRaWAN network, reports to your BMS via BACnet, and from that point on your supervisory layer has accurate data from the space — not an estimate from a corridor sensor 15 metres away.

The V2 adds IP65 protection and USB-C probe connectivity over the original COMFORT. One USB-C port, three probe options: NTC temperature probe, moisture detection PCB, or moisture rope. Same sensor body, extended capability on site without a hardware swap.

Why the COMFORT V2 is Ready For Anything®

🟢 Ready for Today

  • Temperature and humidity — ±0.3°C, ±2% RH accuracy — precise enough for zone-level HVAC control and tenant comfort SLA reporting
  • Ambient light sensing — supports occupancy-linked lighting and HVAC schedules; if the lights are off and motion is zero, the room is unoccupied
  • PIR motion detection — real-time occupancy without a separate sensor; one device covers presence, environment, and contact in a single LoRaWAN slot
  • Door and window contact — open window in a heated zone triggers an event; integrate that event into your BMS control logic and stop heating the outside
  • Up to 10 years battery life — deploy it and leave it; no annual battery change programme, no maintenance call-out, no ladder in a live office

🔵 Ready for Change

  • IP65 rated — suitable for plant rooms, utility areas, laundry rooms, and anywhere the original COMFORT could not go; same form factor, tougher envelope
  • USB-C probe port — add a temperature probe for pipe surface or ambient readings outside the sensor body; add a moisture rope for leak detection under raised floors or around plant equipment; no hardware swap required
  • Twist-off mount — tool-free installation and battery access; relocate the sensor without damage to the surface or the device
  • Push-button input — programmable for manual override, alert acknowledgement, or simple on/off signalling from the space

🔗 Ready for Integrations

  • LoRaWAN Class A — EU868, US915, AU915, AS923, IN865, KR920 — joins any standard LoRaWAN network; pairs directly with TEKTELIC KONA Micro or Enterprise gateways
  • BACnet output via KONA embedded LNS — Niagara 4 discovers the sensor as a standard BACnet object; no driver development, no custom integration, no middleware conversation
  • Multiple measurements, one device address — temperature, humidity, light, motion, contact, and probe data all available as individual BACnet properties from one sensor
  • INNON-tested integration — we have commissioned this sensor stack in Niagara; we know where the friction is and we document it

Probe accessories

The COMFORT V2 USB-C port accepts three probe types, all available separately from INNON:

  • Temperature Probe — NTC, USB-C, 1.5m — for pipe surface temperature, ambient readings in confined spaces, or external ambient where the sensor body is panel-mounted
  • Moisture Probe — PCB, USB-C, 1.5m — point detection under raised floors, around valves, or beneath water-connected plant equipment
  • Moisture Rope — Fabric Cover, USB-C, 3m — linear leak detection along pipework runs or under equipment where a single point probe is not sufficient
  • Moisture Rope — Plastic Cover, USB-C, 3m — same linear detection with a harder-wearing cover for industrial or plant room environments

From good systems to great outcomes

  • Zone-accurate temperature data — your HVAC setpoints respond to what is actually happening in the space, not what the corridor sensor approximates
  • Leak detection without a separate system — add a moisture probe and the COMFORT V2 reports leak events into the same BACnet layer your BMS already monitors
  • One sensor, eight measurement types — temperature, humidity, light, PIR, contact, shock, push-button, and probe; fewer devices, fewer LoRaWAN slots, cleaner infrastructure
  • Wireless means no wiring cost — deploy in listed buildings, tenant spaces, or areas where chasing cable is not viable; battery life measured in years, not months
  • Pulse counting for utility meters — the COMFORT V2 captures pulse outputs from existing water and gas meters and reports consumption over LoRaWAN; no meter replacement, no separate pulse counter device, no extra LoRaWAN slot; usage data arrives in the same BACnet layer as your environmental readings
  • Door and access monitoring via Hall effect sensor — detects open and close events on doors, cabinet covers, and access panels; map the binary state to a Niagara alarm for mechanical rooms, electrical cabinets, or any restricted space that needs passive access logging without a card reader system

Low maintenance by design

Three things that matter once the sensor is installed and the project has moved on:

  • Battery life reported as a percentage — the COMFORT V2 reports remaining battery as a percentage in every uplink, not just a raw voltage; you can see in Niagara exactly how much life is left across your entire sensor estate without having to calculate or interpret anything
  • Twist-off mounting with tool-free battery access — the enclosure twists off the wall plate for battery replacement without tools; no damage to the surface, no need to re-commission the sensor, no special equipment required on site
  • Onboard accelerometer for vibration and impact detection — the COMFORT V2 includes a 3-axis accelerometer reporting orientation, vibration, and impact events; useful for detecting equipment movement, door slam events, or unexpected physical disturbance to plant near the sensor
