A Ready For Anything® accessory
A moisture detection probe for the COMFORT V2 — PCB format, USB-C, 1.5m cable. Adds leak detection to the COMFORT V2 without an extra LoRaWAN device or gateway slot.
USB-C connection · 1.5m cable · Point leak detection · Works with COMFORT V2
What this accessory does on site
The COMFORT V2 has a USB-C probe port. This PCB moisture probe connects to that port and extends the sensor's capability to leak detection — without adding another LoRaWAN device, without another gateway slot, without another BACnet address.
Place the PCB probe under raised flooring, beneath a water-connected valve, or alongside plant equipment where a leak would be the first sign of a failure. When moisture is detected, the COMFORT V2 reports the event in its next LoRaWAN uplink. In Niagara, that maps to a BACnet binary value — alarm, log, or integrate it into a control sequence like any other BMS input.
This is point detection. For linear detection along a pipework run, use the moisture rope accessory instead.
Compatibility
- Requires TEKTELIC COMFORT V2 sensor body
- USB-C connection — plug and play, no configuration required
- Moisture event reported as a discrete property in the COMFORT V2 uplink payload
- BACnet object mapping via KONA gateway embedded LNS
Why this accessory is Ready For Anything®
🟢 Ready for Today
- Leak detection without an extra LoRaWAN device — plugs into the COMFORT V2 USB-C port; moisture events reported in the same uplink as temperature and occupancy; one BACnet device address covers everything
- Point detection exactly where you need it — under a valve, beneath a fan coil unit, next to water-connected plant; place the PCB probe at the specific location where a leak would first appear
- BACnet binary event in Niagara — moisture detected maps to a BACnet binary value; alarm it, log it, or feed it into a control sequence like any other BMS input
🔵 Ready for Change
- Adds capability without hardware swap — plug it in and the COMFORT V2 starts reporting moisture; no new device, no new gateway slot, no Niagara reconfiguration
- Swap probe types as the application changes — replace with a moisture rope or temperature probe if the use case evolves; same USB-C port, same sensor body
🔗 Ready for Integrations
- Works within the existing TEKTELIC stack — COMFORT V2 plus KONA gateway plus Niagara; moisture property appears automatically in the existing BACnet device object
Requires TEKTELIC COMFORT V2 sensor body. Contact sales@innon.co.uk for compatibility queries.
